James David Vance is an American venture capitalist, author, and politician serving as the junior United States senator from Ohio since 2023. Vance got a law degree from Yale and became a Senator. But now he is pretending to be a psychologist (and not a good one). Vance was a critic of Donald Trump during the 2016 election, becoming a member of the Never Trump movement, but changed his rhetoric after announcing his candidacy for the Senate. During his tenure in the Senate, he has been a staunch Trump loyalist and defender of Trump's assertions. So he is not a man of convictions, just a opportunist who is supporting a convict so he can play politics. In order to further the GOP, the GOP needs to realize what a failure they have become by scaring congressmen into loyalty to Donald Barabbas Trump. They essentially operate in fear.
'Trump's wife serving cooked America': JD Vance's bizarre Thanksgiving post has internet losing its cool JD Vance certainly knows how to stir up a social media storm. This Thanksgiving, the Ohio senator sparked internet chatter, with a bizarre post that saw him superimposed as “Trump’s wife” in a reimagined version of Norman Rockwell’s famous painting. The incoming Vice President of the United States had no qualms about captioning the image, which quickly sparked its own interpretation online. Some saw it as Vance seemingly serving a "cooked America" on a silver platter. In the image, Trump is positioned standing behind Vance, further fueling the commentary. On Friday, the father of three took to his X handle to share a parody of Norman Rockwell's iconic "Freedom From Want" painting, with his own face replacing the matriarch serving turkey wearing a cooking apron. Meanwhile, Donald Trump appears as the smiling husband standing behind him in a black suit. In late afternoon sunshine, Eric Trump shook his fist and led chants of “Fight! Fight! Fight!” The second son of Donald Trump told a fervent crowd: “They tried to smear us, they tried to bankrupt us, they came after us, they impeached him twice … then, guys, they tried to kill him.” A who’s who of the Maga movement had gathered for a Trump campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, less than three months after the Republican presidential nominee survived an assassination attempt there. Trump was joined on stage by running mate JD Vance and billionaire Elon Musk. But if he was looking for moral support from his family, he would have to settle for Eric. His other children – and his wife – were notably absent. The no-shows at Trump’s recent marquee event were indicative of a divided family keeping a lower profile than in past election cycles. When he took the political establishment by storm in 2016, the Trump family business was part of his brand. This time, at campaign stops where he gives disjointed and demagogic speeches, he cuts a more isolated figure. JD Vance (R-Ohio) said at this month’s vice-presidential debate, repeating a line he has used on the stump. Vance added that his family members switched off Medicaid, the government health insurance program for low-income Americans, while Trump was in office between 2017 and 2021. Vance was referring to his mother, who purchased private health insurance through the Affordable Care Act’s insurance marketplace run by Ohio after she overcame substance-abuse challenges, became financially stable and subsequently made too much money to remain on Medicaid, a campaign spokesman told The Washington Post. Vance also was invoking a cousin in Florida who obtained private insurance for the first time through the state’s marketplace, spokesman William Martin said. Given all the uproar over GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s baseless, utterly false and profoundly racist claims that Haitian immigrants are eating people’s pets in an Ohio town, I would likely to make a public statement that is supported by an equal amount of evidence: “Not long ago, billionaire Elon Musk ate my cat, Mr. Smushyface. Days later, Donald Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, stole and then barbecued and ate my dog, Zoe. I remained quiet about these incidents for fear other tech bros like Musk and Vance might come for my hamster, Dennis. But after much thoughts and prayer, I have decided to honor the memories of Zoe and Mr. Smushyface by letting the world know what I claim to be the truth.” (USA Today 9/13/24) READMORE>>>>> JD Vance’s plane makes emergency landing after door malfunction The charter plane carrying former president Donald Trump’s running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) made an emergency landing in Milwaukee after a door seal malfunction, the campaign said Friday. The plane, a Boeing 737, declared an emergency shortly after it had left the airport in Milwaukee and returned for repairs, campaign spokesperson Taylor Van Kirk said in a statement. The issue was resolved, and the plane continued to Cincinnati, where Vance lives. Vance was in Milwaukee for a campaign event at the city’s police association. A National Transportation Safety Board spokesperson said the agency is not investigating the plane’s grounding as it does not qualify as an accident, defined as “events that result in serious injury or death or substantial damage.” (Boing Boing 8/13/24) READ MORE>>>>> Vance cries bully while Trump backstabs over "weird" label
Donald Trump missteps stir growing Republican worry, campaign seeks Vance reset Donald Trump's comments questioning Kamala Harris' Black identity and stumbles by his running mate JD Vance are prompting growing unease among Republicans. In response to a backlash over Vance's remarks about childless women, the Trump campaign is seeking to help him move past the controversy by focusing on issues such as the border that resonate with the GOP base. Republican allies outside the Trump campaign are downplaying their 2024 presidential nominee's recent statements about his Democratic rival and her race as they move into damage control mode with less than 100 days until Election Day. Some in the party are genuinely concerned, though. (USA Today 8/4/24) READ MORE>>>>> It's getting weird: Simple insult is Democrats' latest talking point. Can it stick? The word of the political moment seems to be "weird." It may have been unprecedented that President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race about 100 days from the election, but that isn't what has Democrats and Republicans sparring over the word "weird." Rather, since Vice President Kamala Harris, a younger, more meme-friendly candidate has stepped in as the Democratic candidate, a host of her surrogates have started labeling her opponents Donald Trump and Sen. JD Vance as weirdos. It appears that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, also reportedly under consideration for Harris' running mate, may have started this wave of attacks. (USA Today 7/29/24) READ MORE>>>>> |
May 20, 2023:
Russian officials released an announcement Friday containing "a list of 500 Americans" who are "officially banned" from the country. Mediaite reports the list includes MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Joe Scarborough — and former MSNBC host Brian Williams; CNN host Erin Burnett; late-night hosts Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and even political leaders like U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), New York Attorney General Letitia James and former President Barack Obama. No Fox News hosts were included on the list. July 15, 2024: The guy that compared Trump to Hitler is Trumps running mate.🙄
Earlier this afternoon, Donald Trump formally won the Republican nomination during the convention roll call vote. House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that Trump had won 2,387 votes. There were 2,429 votes available but in three states and Washington, DC, the secretary of the convention announced that some votes would be cast “pursuant to the rules and procedures” of the convention.
Donald Trump’s running mate pick is Ohio Sen. JD Vance. I guessed he would be the one early on because of the choices he was the one who most spoke in circles like a Maga. Vance has said he would have refused to certify the election on Jan. 6, 2020, if he were in Pence's position."If I had been vice president, I would have told the states, like Pennsylvania, Georgia and so many others that we needed to have multiple slates of electors," he told ABC News in February, "and I think the U.S. Congress should have fought over it from there. That is the legitimate way to deal with an election that a lot of folks, including me, think had a lot of problems in 2020. I think that's what we should have done." Eight years ago, in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, J.D. Vance was a bitter critic of Donald Trump. He called Donald Trump an "idiot" and said he was "reprehensible." Privately, he compared him to Adolf Hitler. "I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical asshole like Nixon who wouldn't be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he's America's Hitler," he wrote privately to an associate on Facebook in 2016. I have zero hope for Trump/Vance to win. It's too early to tell from polling what could happen in November. August 11, 2024: JD Vance did a few Sunday morning TV Interviews🙄
JD Vance is fundamentally a fake person who changes his tune depending on what audience he's in front of. Today he did what he could to change the subject whenever he could. But where to if he was trying to misdirect? Vance has no concept of what he is or what he believes. His answers went in circles. He also likes to use misdirection in order to get the questions to not be about him. Hello? He is the interviewee and not the interviewer. Misdirection...sometimes called project...is a hallmark of the Trump/Vance campaign.
CNN's Dana Bash was aware and address it: Vance: This (Harris) is a fundamentally fake person Bash: With respect, you changed your position on an important thing, Donald Trump Vance: Of course I did! Bash: So why are you not a chameleon? What's he going to have to complain about when Harris sits down for an interview? I think what he was trying to do is position himself as being brave because he talked to the press. Bravery before the press, however, is not answering questions....it's answering questions truthfully and not constantly trying to misdirect.....which is now a common thing to do in the Maga Party. Eight years ago, in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, J.D. Vance was a bitter critic of Donald Trump. Publicly, he called the Republican presidential candidate an "idiot" and said he was "reprehensible." Privately, he compared him to Adolf Hitler. But by Vance was tapped to be his running mate he had become one of Trump's most ardent defenders, standing by his side even when other high-profile Republicans declined to do so. Now Vance appears to be trying to normalize Trump's stupidity. Like Nikki Haley, Vance's political career should be over for trying to con both sides of the political spectrum. There's no reason that politicians should be given good paying jobs with benefits simply for lying better than the other. October 5, 2024: Sikeston, Missouri Editorial Page (Speakout): After watching the vice presidential debate, I was impressed with how J.D. Vance spoke. Only problem was, who was he talking about? I can’t associate Trump with the person Vance tried to represent. No winners here.
