AMY ORR-EWING
May 29, 2020: Christian Today: Life and legacy of Ravi Zacharias celebrated at moving memorial service
Owing to coronavirus travel restrictions, Amy Orr-Ewing, Senior Vice-President of RZIM, the apologetics ministry founded by Zacharias, addressed the service from Oxford, England, by video link. She said: "Ravi's had an enormous influence on me, on my life as an evangelist and an apologist, giving me opportunity first and foremost by inviting me to join his team when I was just in my early twenties myself, and that struck me as really amazing. “In moving into my calling, there was a combination of being proactive—pushing on doors and exploring options—and also asking God to guide me through his Word, my dreams and passions, the prophetic, and the circumstances I found myself in. In my era, we prayed it through, and then started off; we felt that God could guide us supernaturally during the process. But today it seems harder, and I see more hesitation and concern along the lines of ‘I’m not sure;’ ‘Is this right?’ ‘Am I hearing God?’ I try to encourage young leaders to try things—to go for it. God can speak to us as we go.” --Amy Orr-Ewing [Christianity Today] 08.15.16Dec 3, 2015: Christianity Today: Meet the Christian pastor with a £500 bounty on his head
