It goes on and on about the failure of "conservatism" and essentially seems to be a call to arms and pushes a "revolutionary" view that seems to include embracing fascism and Christian Nationalist perspectives without using the title "Christian Nationalist." (Also, "Trial by Combat).
The Federalist has an interesting following of readers who some I considered intellectual. It's kind of become a group of people I refer to as the "almost and kind of thinking right winger" who aren't QAnon nutty but are walking a thin line and seem to be seeking for the perfect "unhinged" moment to reveal themselves. . Today I looked at it as I have not read it for several years now...and it is cringe-worthy. I have been alerted about info several times from various sources but never took the time to look at it. I have that same sense about Breitbart (web site) and have no interest reading their nonsense anymore. When I fact-check something...it is not unusual to search and end up at Breitbart.

After the Alex Jones verdict today, Marjorie Taylor Greene had this to say about it: “No matter what you think of Alex Jones all he did was speak words.” She wrote on Twitter: "He was not the one who pulled the trigger.
Were his words wrong and did he apologize? Yes. That’s what freedom of speech is. Freedom to speak words. Political persecution must end."
The problem with illogical people like Greene is that Jones was espousing nonsense and claiming it was "the truth." Now had Jones stated before every show that he was making stuff up...then it would be different. And he could rattle off all the nonsense he wanted to.
Jones (and Trump..and Greene) follow the same school of logic in that they feed their nonsense to "the uneducated" and and purposely feed their nonsense to the lowest common denominator on the "Illogical" scale of reality.
Greene is a Christian Nationalist, and, hence has little knowledge of what is in the Bible, let alone know who God is. ...but James 3:3-6 says; When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell."

But I have come to a conclusion that the best places for news are local new agencies and news papers. Not so much the big news medias and various wannabe left and right web sites. Local news networks arent really on a need to post click bait and local news papers are really not able to embellish because their community would catch the lies much easier and quicker so they have local community of "fact checkers" that keeps them more honest. Screaming “this is all out war!” Alex Jones and Roger Stone tell their followers that the only way to win the war against evil Democrats is to send them money and buy their products. I think theyre channeling the spirits of the Osteens, Paula White, and others from that "pay-your-way-to-heaven" ilk. Jen Psaki leaves the White House after holding 224 briefings — more than all of Trump's press secretaries combined. Cultural warriors on the right talk about freedom of speech and being silenced. Those on the left talk about hate speech and "safe spaces". In a world of "cancel culture", each wants to cancel the other. What we don't do is disagree well. The media, with some exceptions, doesn't help. Debate is framed around points of difference and conflict: polarize and divide. This is not what democracy was designed for. Democracy is not dead but it is weakened. Freedom House, which measures the health of democracies globally, now counts 15 straight years of democratic decline. As followers of Jesus, truth is our currency. Without it, we have nothing. It’s essential to the integrity and believability of the gospel that we are known as truth-tellers, not argument-winners. Christians should have a reputation for being the most truthful people on earth.
Tip: Don’t share a story just because one of your friends posted it on Facebook. Check out the original source first. Is it reliable? Do other stories on the website seem credible? If a story isn’t widely circulated by conservative and liberal or moderate outlets, its content may be suspect, and by that I mean that the subject will be distributed in both left and right news sources but make an observational spin on it..which is expected.
The day before yesterday I posted a photo on FaceBook. Though I usually do double check news sources....I did not with that one because I got it from some online individuals who generally have credibility. Well, I was wrong and so were they. As a general rule I do check sources and get to know web sites that are hinged or unhinged with their information. They believed the misinformation also..so we were all duped. No hard feelings.

Tip: Don’t share a story just because one of your friends posted it on Facebook. Check out the original source first. Is it reliable? Do other stories on the website seem credible? If a story isn’t widely circulated by conservative and liberal or moderate outlets, its content may be suspect, and by that I mean that the subject will be distributed in both left and right news sources but make an observational spin on it..which is expected.
The day before yesterday I posted a photo on FaceBook. Though I usually do double check news sources....I did not with that one because I got it from some online individuals who generally have credibility. Well, I was wrong and so were they. As a general rule I do check sources and get to know web sites that are hinged or unhinged with their information. They believed the misinformation also..so we were all duped. No hard feelings.

If you look at history the Media began going off the rails just after the Fairness Doctrine was revoked. And it has gone from bad to worse since then. I think it should be brought back. It won a Constitutional test in 1969 where SCOTUS ruled that it protected the First Amendment. Under Reagan the FCC revoked it via Reagan appointees. It was about that time that Rush Limbaugh came on the scene. Two rules of the doctrine, the personal attack rule and the "political editorial" rule, remained in practice until 2000. The media then became a free-for-all.
The Fox Business Network has canceled Lou Dobbs Tonight, The Los Angeles Times reports. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did, but, then again, Fox has been very patient with conspiracy theorists.

Smartmatic lawsuit, filed in New York state court, accused Fox News, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell and hosts Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, and Jeanine Pirro of intentionally lying about Smartmatic in an effort to mislead the public into the false belief that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Donald Trump.
