Joshua Booth Green (born February 11, 1970) is an American politician and physician who has been the governor of Hawaii since 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, he is the state's ninth governor. He was the 15th lieutenant governor of Hawaii from 2018 to 2022, a member of the Hawaii Senate from 2008 to 2018, and as a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives from 2004 to 2008.

Josh Green is acknowledging the rapid spread of the coconut rhinoceros beetle, calling the situation with invasive species in Hawaii a “serious deal.” The beetle was first detected in the state in 2013. In a news conference Friday, Green added he takes the threat of invasive species very seriously and says he’s been talking about the issue since he was a state lawmaker in 2015.

U.S. House Republicans have picked Rep. Mark Green (R-Clarksville) to serve as chair of the House Committee on Homeland Security for the 118th Congress.
Green, whose redrawn district now includes parts of Nashville, was selected for the position by the House Republican Steering Committee on Monday and says in a news release that “ending the border crisis [President Joe] Biden created is our top priority,” adding that “no community in the U.S. will be unaffected” by illegal immigration.

Colorado GOP appeals removal of Trump from ballot to U.S. Supreme Court
(The Center Square) – The Colorado Republican Party is appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court in a case where the state Supreme Court ruled to remove Donald Trump from the 2024 Republican presidential primary ballot. The appeal automatically places the former president on the March 5, 2024, primary ballot when certification takes place on Jan. 5, 2024, due to a stipulation in the Colorado Supreme Court ruling, according to a news release from Democratic Secretary of State Jena Griswold. However, if the U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear the case or if it affirms the Colorado Supreme Court, Trump would not appear on the ballot.
